SRK was spotted in Kolkata with his daughter Suhana Khan when they arrived to support him IPL franchise, Kolkata Knight Riders, in their clash against Punjab Kings at the Eden Gardens. Their presence brought an extra dose of glamor to the high profile gathering. Among the highlights of the day was SRK’s heated reunion with former India skipper Sourav Ganguly, which garnered attention online as clips and pictures went viral. SRK and Suhana, currently busy shooting for the film King, flew in to attend Monday’s match. However, the game was ultimately abandoned due to a wet pitch. Later, KKR’s official handles shared a video of Shah Rukh and Sourav greeting each other with a hug and a short chat. Injured cricketer Harshit Rana was also present, along with SRK’s manager Pooja Dadlani. Posting the clip on Instagram, the group wrote: “When the KING met the PRINCE OF BENGAL.“ This comes as a treat for fans, after the so-called ‘divorce’. When Saurav was removed from the captaincy of KKR in the early years of the team, things did not go well between the two. In a documentary on the team, ‘Living with KKR’, Shah Rukh spoke about this incident. He said: “All these thoughts started coming in, that maybe the format doesn’t suit the big players.”SRK even called it a divorce of sorts. He said, “If Sourav is not going to lead KKR, we will overhaul the whole team. We were the only people to bring the whole team back into the IPL pool. That was the only way to show respect for the greatness and beginnings that Sourav Ganguly gave us at KKR.” She added: “Sometimes it’s better to sit back and say you know what, this isn’t working. Not because you’re not good, not because I’m not good, it’s like a divorce. Sometimes you say honey, I hope you are happy and have a happier life and so do I, let’s move on.
