Asha Bhosle passes away: On the last rites of the National Award winning singer
On Saturday, April 11, 2026, Asha Bhosle was admitted to the hospital due to a chest infection and severe fatigue. On Sunday, April 12, 2026, while addressing the media outside the hospital, the singer’s son, Anand Bhosle, confirmed the news of his death. He also shared that Asha Bhosle’s last rites will be performed at 4 pm in Mumbai, Shivaji Park. The procession will proceed from his residence to Shivaji Park. Also, full State honors will be given to the National Award winning singer. His mortal remains have been placed in a glass casket, clothed in tricolor and decorated with white lilies. They were also honored with a ceremonial salute as part of the state honor.
