Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Corey Feldman, 54, said: “The tribute was ‘like a family reunion I wasn’t invited to.’
In an interview with Jerry O’Connell and Wil Wheaton on the 40th anniversary of ‘Stand By Me’, Corey said: “I mean I’m with us, we’re all devastated that things went the way they did, losing Rob, when we all thought he was going to join us at some point in this tragedy.”The film, starring a young Feldman alongside Jerry O’Connell and Wil Wheaton, will return to theaters in celebration of the film’s 40th anniversary.Feldman wasn’t there to pay tribute to the late director himself at the Oscars, but both O’Connell, 52, and Wheaton, 53, were on stage alongside more than a dozen of Reiner’s collaborators, including Meg Ryan, Demi Moore, John Cusack and Kathy Bates, for the emotional moment.

Reiner was found dead at his home in Los Angeles at the age of 78, along with his wife, Michele Reiner, on December 14. Their middle child, Nick Reiner, was arrested the day after his parents’ deaths and has since been charged with two counts of first-degree murder, to which he has pleaded not guilty. Nick, who could face prison without parole or the death penalty if convicted, is due in court next April 29.
