At the event before the release of ‘Love Insurance Kompany’, the actor and director RJ Balaji shared an interesting and touching story about his love journey Vignesh Shivan and Nayanthara. The event took place before the release of the film this Friday and was attended by the cast and crew. RJ Balaji said that he saw their relationship growing step by step in front of him. According to her, the love story between the director and the actress developed slowly over time and she was one of the first friends of Vignesh Shivan to hear about him.
RJ Balaji says he found it hard to believe Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan’s love story at first
While speaking at the event, RJ Balaji revealed that he initially found it hard to believe when Vignesh Shivan told him about his feelings. “Vignesh came to me and said he was in love with Nayanthara. I said, ‘Hey, stop joking and be serious,'” he said with a smile. Balaji added that Vignesh Shivan kept insisting that it was true. “No, I’m serious. This is real.’ Honestly, I couldn’t believe it at first,” he shared. The actor joked that he even felt a little surprised at that moment. “I asked him again, ‘Are you sure Nayanthara really loves you?’ When he said yes, I felt like my heart was going to explode,” he said, making the audience laugh.
RJ Balaji confirms Vignesh Shivan-Nayanthara’s strong bond and enduring love
RJ Balaji then shared how he later confirmed the news. He said that he directly asked Nayanthara about the relationship. “I went to Nayanthara and asked, ‘Do you really love Vignesh?’ He smiled and said yes,” she recalled. According to him, the love he saw between the two of them that day is still there today. “The way they loved each other then is the way they love each other now, with the same warmth and love,” he said. He further added that many people in the industry admire Vignesh Shivan, including the composer Anirudh Ravichander and actor Pradeep Ranganathan.

He also spoke about his long friendship with partner RJ Balaji. Vignesh Shivan and Nayanthara got close for the first time during the shooting of ‘Naanum Rowdy Dhaan’, in which Nayanthara starred opposite Vijay Sethupathi. RJ Balaji was also a part of the film. Their friendship continued in other projects later. Nayanthara also starred in director RJ Balaji’s ‘Mookuthi Amman’. Over the years, they have been good friends who have helped each other in times of need.
