Regé-Jean Page has decided to keep romantic comedies alive and growing. In an exclusive interview, the ‘Bridgerton’ star talks about his new film ‘You, Me, and Tuscany’, sharing his passion for the genre and the joy of filming it. Halle Bailey.

In an interview with People Magazine, Jean Page revealed that the romantic comedy, which will be released on April 10, 2026, will feature Michael, a man who falls in love with Anna (Halle Bailey), even though he appears to be engaged to her cousin. Page plays an important role in this Will Packer-produced project directed by Kat Coiro, shot among the stunning vineyards of Tuscany, Italy. He quickly signed after a simple pitch from Packer. “Will and I had a real short conversation, and then he texted me, ‘Tuscany in the summer?’ End of message,” Page recalled with a laugh. “I was like, ‘Yeah, I think we can do that.'”

Page raves about the magical location and her chemistry with Bailey. “And I got to work with Halle Bailey every day, which made it even better. We really enjoyed it, creating a film about embracing your best life,” he shared. The couple first connected at a raucous event where Bailey offered a friendly getaway. “It’s a great stop to meet someone, and we ended up hanging out. Those events can be huge, full of great characters. So it was refreshing to find someone who was like, ‘Hey, let’s be friends,’ especially since we were about to embark on this amazing journey together,” Page explained.Tuscany itself became a character in the story, heightening the romance. Bailey calls it “beautiful.” It looks like you’re on a screensaver. I tried to do many things. I went to cooking classes, and we spent a lot of time in the vineyard. “For Page, the film captures the essence of the roots comedy: overcoming obstacles through love and communication. They focus on ambition and the journey to step into your best life by trusting others and learning how to communicate through challenges,” he said. “Not every film has to revolve around what can hit the hardest. “I think it’s about discussing issues and finding harmony both within yourself and with others, and it was a pleasure to explore that.”

Facing rumors of the genre’s decline, Page firmly pushes back. “That might be part of it, the idea that the romantic comedy is going away. But love certainly hasn’t gone away. Love will prevail, and I’m proud to stand for that idea,” he said.
