Ranveer Singh He will star in a film called ‘Pralay’, an upcoming post-apocalyptic zombie film. With this, the actor will enter a new genre. No further details about the survival thriller are available so far; however, as per the latest update, a new report stated that it was Singh who was approached for the film.

In an interview with Hollywood Reporter India, Hansal Mehta revealed his son Jai Mehta he had been working on the idea for a long time. The filmmaker said that Ranveer loved his son’s previous work.He said, “When Ranveer saw his work, he approached him, and then Jai introduced him. Once Ranveer said he liked the idea, we invested in developing it, helping Jai create the world he wants to present in the film.”According to reports, the film has been in pre-production since then, including proof-of-concepts and pre-visualization.The veteran filmmaker added that development is not just about writing, it involves world building, visualisation, concept pitching and more. He also shared that the team has invested a lot of time in creating a world that should be believable.
Hansal Mehta tackles ‘Pralay’ ‘Blindness’ inspired rumours
Addressing rumors of a Ranveer Singh starrer inspired by ‘Blindness’, Hansal Mehta said, “It’s not an adaptation. Jai and Vishal Kapoor have written the original story.”The filmmaker also shared, “The success of Jai’s film will depend on its immersive nature…we are working with some of the best talent from around the world.”
