Director Nitesh Tiwari TeaserRamayana‘, protagonist Ranbir KapoorIt has been announced that it has been cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) ahead of its scheduled release on April 2. With still two days left for the clip titled ‘Rama’ to play on our screens, a screenshot of the certificate including the rating and runtime was released online. Interestingly, fans can expect a full-length trailer clip on Thursday.
‘Ramaya’ teaser has got CBFC certificate
According to reports in News18, the teaser titled ‘Rama’ is 2 minutes and 38 seconds long with a ‘U’ (universal) rating indicating that fans of all age groups will be able to watch the epic. The certificate was issued on March 30, just in time for filing later this week.
Watch: ‘Ramayana: The Introduction’
So far, the makers have only unveiled the title launch video and a 3 minute 3 second clip of ‘Ramayana: The Introduction’, giving Ranbir Kapoor a heavy VFX look as Mr. Rama and Mr. Rama. Yash like Ravana. The clip was released with the caption, “The result of a collaboration of some of the world’s finest to ensure that the Ramayana is presented with the utmost reverence and respect. Welcome to the beginning.”It remains to be seen if the next clip will give fans their first detailed look at Ranbir’s character, the film’s scale, visual aesthetic and score, which has been created by Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman.
The first look of ‘Rama’ will be released on April 2
On the occasion of Ram Navami, producer Namit Malhotra took to Instagram and announced that the film’s promotional video will be released on Hanuman Jayanti on April 2. He wrote, “Shubh Rama Navami. This story belongs to all of us and every step we take has been guided by a deep sense of duty, devotion and responsibility to scale our whole lives and scale Ramayan with truest spirit. We sincerely hope that on the auspicious occasion of ‘Rama’, Hanuman Jayanti, next April 2, when we start showcasing all these years of our efforts with our fans, celebrating this moment around the world.
‘Ramayana’ Cast and Release Date
Ahead of the premiere of ‘Rama’, Ranbir, director Tiwari and producer Malhotra jetted off to Los Angeles where they premiered the first visuals of the film to a select audience at an IMAX screening. The first rumor indicates that the clip received positive reviews with a viral tweet saying, “We’re really looking forward to this.”Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Rama, Yash Ravana, Sai Pallavi Starring Sita, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman and Sunny Deol as Hanuman, the film will release worldwide with Part 1 on Diwali 2026 and Part 2 on Diwali 2027.
