The patience, composure and innocence that Arun Govil had is missing here. But I am sure he will justify the role with his performance,” he said.
“Looks a little tough”
Sunil also addressed the ongoing conversation about Ranbir’s latest on-screen image, especially after Animal.“She looks a bit tough; she’s more suited to Laxman or Bharat. For a role like this, it’s always better to cast a new face. A new actor, without any image or controversy, is always the perfect match,” he added.
Dipika Chikhlia calls the teaser “very big”.
Interestingly, Dipika Chikhlia, who played Sita in Ramayan, had an opposite reaction.“I saw the teaser and it’s really great. Bahut rich lag raha hai. Unhone bahut achhe se banaya hai. So now I’m waiting for the film and it looks really cool, no doubt about it,” he told India Today.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita. Yash will be seen as Ravana, while Sunny Deol and Ravie Dubey will be seen as Hanuman and Lakshman respectively.The cast also includes Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Kunal Kapoor, Adinath Kothare, Sheeba Chaddha and Indira Krishnan.Ramayana: Part I will release on Diwali this year, while the second part will hit theaters on Diwali 2027.
