On the occasion of Ram Navami, filmmaker SS Rajamouli and the team behind ‘Varanasi’ extended their greetings to the fans and devotees of Mr. Ram by offering a teaser of their upcoming film. In an official post on their social media handle, the team shared the epic Ramayana sequence from the film, which sees Lord Ram ready to take on Ravana with his bow and arrow. They shared the post with a caption that read, “Next Sri Rama Navami you will see it in theatres.” The film is confirmed to release on April 7, 2027, a week before Ram Navami 2027. the protagonist Mahesh Babu In a dual role, the film will see the actor portray Lord Ram as part of a major narrative arc. The teased sequence is said to be the crux of the film’s story, with Rajamouli said to have dedicated an extensive shooting schedule of 60 days to film an epic 25-minute fight.Mounted on a grand scale, ‘Varanasi’ will also feature Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran in pivotal roles as they travel through time and embark on an epic adventure. Apart from ‘Varanasi’, the team behind Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana‘ is also rumored to be releasing new material which is auspicious day. A film with a protagonist Ranbir Kapoor Starring Lord Ram as the lead, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana, it is slated for a Diwali 2026 release. Just in time for the festival, the first poster of the film ‘Valmiki Ramayana’ was unveiled on Thursday. Directed by Bhavna Talwar, it features an outstanding creative team committed to presenting the epic with authenticity and emotional depth. Acclaimed production designer Sabu Cyril is directing the visual world building, while renowned author Anand Neelakantan has penned the script, drawn directly from the original Valmiki Ramayana. The film will be released in theaters on October 2.
