Rajpal Yadav he says he feels like he’s been given a new life—almost like he’s a child again. The past few weeks have been particularly difficult for the actor, who was briefly sent to jail in an old check-bouncing case. The situation prompted widespread support from the film industry, along with efforts to clear the actor’s dues. After a few days, he was released after posting bail.Yadav is currently promoting his film ‘Bhooth Bangla’, shortly after a court refused to remand him. When asked about his current situation after the legal situation, he told Hindustan Times, “Raahat hi hai zindagi mein (There is only relief in life).”Earlier in February, Delhi High Court He ordered Tihar to be taken to jail in connection with the 9 million euro kickback case. In the following days, several colleagues, producers and well-wishers took part to help return a part of the amount. This collective support was extremely important in the release on bail.The actor is visibly moved when he remembers the overwhelming support he received. “When you’re stuck in a situation and at that moment, the people you’ve worked with for 20 years are by your side. Whether you’re a child or an elderly person, it doesn’t matter. People prayed for me, others helped me tan, mann, dhan, whatever they could. Yeh jo karz hua hai poori duniya ka mere upar, iss karz mein main doobna chahta hoon (I feel that I am indebted to the whole world, and I want to continue doing so),” he said with a smile.Reflecting on how the experience has transformed him, he says: “I must have lived 500 lives in the last 40 years, since I started doing theater at the age of 14. But now I feel like I’ve been reborn. I feel like a child again.”Despite the emotional and physical toll that such legal battles can take, Rajpal insists he has always been resilient. He remembers an event from his childhood that shaped his perspective: “I have seen death up close. I almost drowned in the vault. At that point, I told myself to keep fighting, to try to emerge. You resist the pressure of the water pulling you down. Aapki aadhi jaan nikal jaati hai (You lose half your strength).” Drawing a parallel with his last time, he added: “I’m a fighter. In my life, I received sympathy and love from my family and so many other families in the world. The world and Indian cinema have given me so much, it keeps me fighting. I want to live every minute of my life in peace now. Raahat ki saans chahiye.
