The production house ‘Raja Shivaji’ took to its social media account to issue a statement about it. It read: “The voice that ruled our hearts for decades has fallen silent today. With the passing of the legendary Asha Bhosle, we mourn the loss of a golden chapter in music. As a mark of respect, we are postponing the release of the Raja Shivaji anthem, ‘Chhatrapati’. Asha Bhosle breathed her last at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital on April 12, 2026. The music icon was admitted to the hospital a day earlier. The Antim Darshan will be held at his residence in Casa Grande Building, Lower Parel, Mumbai, from 11 am onwards. His funeral will be held at Shivaji Park in Dadar. He will be killed with full honor of the state.
