On the Labrinth controversy
Labrint’s message has sparked curiosity among his fans, especially when the composer released his new album ‘Cosmic Opera Act I’ in January this year. He also posted a teaser for the new music on Instagram on March 4 with the caption “04.10.26.”Notably, the musician has been linked to ‘Euphoria’ and its creator Sam Levinson since the show started in 2019. He composed, produced and provided his voice for the show’s soundtrack. “I don’t think I was excited about composing for a TV show, to be honest. I wanted to compose music, but what impressed me the most was Sam’s passion for the show, and what he wanted to do… I thought it was a way of doing music. And especially with Euphoria, where one minute you’re doing funk and the next you’re doing funk, the music was kind of fun, I know, it was a lot of fun for me.” Labrinth told Billboard in 2022.Prior to the HBO show, Labrinth debuted in 2010 with the single ‘Let the Sun Shine’. Later, his first album, ‘Electronic Earth’, was released after two years. Labrinth is signed to Columbia Records.
