The controversy came just before the last over of Karachi Kings’ chase, when they needed 14 runs to win. Zaman was seen arguing with Afridi and bowler Haris Rauf before the umpires intervened.On-field umpire Faisal Afridi called him after the ball passed between Rauf and Zaman. After inspection, the officials ruled that the condition had been changed, Karachi were awarded five penalty runs and the ball was replaced. The tie was reduced to nine in the last over, which Karachi managed comfortably.Zaman has denied the allegation before match referee Roshan Mahanama, whose decision is expected soon. Afridi also distanced himself from the incident, saying he was unaware of any changes to the ball, while Raza echoed similar sentiments.The Pakistan Cricket Board has taken the matter seriously, officials have indicated that strict action may be taken if the allegations are proven.
