'Prathichaya' Twitter review: Actor Nivin Pauly gets a mixed bag;
Nivin Pauly’s political thriller ‘Prathichaya’ has evoked a divided response from the audience, especially on social media, where some viewers say it is too predictable. Twitter reviews call it “predictable.”

The film has received mixed reactions on Twitter. One user wrote, “#Prathichaya is a predictable and clichéd political drama. Follows B. Unni’s usual style, tries to cover multiple issues like scandals and media politics, but fails to engage. The film lags at various parts, feels slow and leans heavily on melodrama. Performance wise, Balachandra Menon has done it. 2.5/5″Another wrote, “Another blunder on another day, no one knows how to use Nivin’s charm but his friends, he should stay in his comfort zone #Prathichaya”Despite the criticism, some viewers have appreciated the film. A section of the audience praised the performances and the second half.One reviewer said, “#Prathichaya is a great political drama with a great second half. Balachandra Menon and #NivinPauly’s performances are great. Expect ‘their’ negative reviews. The family confrontation scene in the second half is very well directed and so is the theme!”Another wrote: “B. Unnikrishnan’s best film – and this is coming from someone who was never a fan of his work.”

Criticism about the length of the make

Several users reported runtime errors. A viewer commented, “#Watched the lousy political drama #Prathichaya. Worst split. Love it. Script is ok in parts. Balachandra Menon gud, poor Nivin, Sharafudheen wrong. Too long. Could have easily been cut by 30+ minutes if they cut the unwanted 2-5” slow motions.Another user offered a balanced view, “#Prathichaya Decent Political Thriller #NivinPauly and the rest of the cast shine the best of Unnikrishnan’s Decent Writers and Screenplays of recent times.”
