After a long gap, Mollywood superstar Mammootty and Mohanlal are joining the cast of ‘Patriot’. In the last day, fans were quite worried when the release date was pushed back from April.According to the latest updates, ‘Patriot’ has a new release date. The spy action drama hits theaters on May 1, 2026. It was earlier scheduled for April 23, but it was postponed.

Mammootty himself posted the update. He wrote: “Patriot in theaters worldwide from May 1, 2026.” The makers decided to delay the film by a few days and this gives them more time to complete the final work properly. The new May 1 date puts the film in a good early summer slot.

‘Patriot’ is a spy action drama based on a controversial intelligence mission and reunites Mammootty and Mohanlal on screen after almost ten years.Mammootty’s ad received a lot of comments from fans. Mohanlal’s ‘Drishyam 3’ is also coming up. The third installment of the popular franchise is directed by Jeethu Joseph and will release on May 21, 2026.
