Discussion on the burning of ‘Dhurandhar’ by R Madhavan
R. Madhavan, who plays IB director Ajay Sanyal in ‘Dhurandhar’, recently had to explain a controversial scene. Social media was abuzz with pictures and clips of him smoking, allegedly puffing on a cigarette during a recitation of Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s Dasam Granth. In response to the outrage of the Sikh community, he released an enlightening video.“I’m sure during this scene, before I delivered the lines, Aditya Dhar, who cares about these things more than I do, told me to put out the cigarette beforehand. He said that there would be no smoke coming out of my mouth, no smoke on the screen, and no cigarette in my hand because it’s very pure and sacred for us,” Madhavan clarified.
