New Delhi: Pakistan all-rounder Hussain Talat was rushed to hospital after sustaining a shoulder injury during the second ODI between Pakistan national cricket team and Bangladesh national cricket team at the Sher Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka on Friday.The incident occurred in the sixth over of Bangladesh’s chase when Talat moved towards the deep-cover boundary to block a shot by Latin Das off Mohammad Wasim Jr. As he tried to push the ball back from the boundary, Talat stepped on the foam padding and collided with the advertising board.

He landed heavily on his left shoulder and felt significant pain. Team staff and players rushed to his aid before a stretcher was brought onto the field and he was taken to a nearby ambulance.The Pakistan Cricket Board later confirmed that Talat had suffered a shoulder injury and was taken to hospital for further tests. “Talat received immediate medical attention from the on-field team medical staff. After initial assessment, he has been taken to the hospital for a detailed examination. The nature and extent of the injury will be determined after doctors complete further medical tests,” PCB said in a media release.Earlier in the match, Pakistan batted first and scored 274 runs in 47.3 overs. Muaz Sadaqat scored 75 runs, Salman Agha scored 64 runs and Mohammad Rizwan scored 44 runs.Bangladesh struggled early in the chase and were 27/3 in 6.3 overs, with Shaheen Afridi claiming two wickets and Mohammad Wasim Jr. one before rain interrupted play. When the match was stopped, Bangladesh still needed 248 runs.
