New Delhi: Pakistan national cricket team defeated Bangladesh national cricket team by 128 runs using the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method in the rain-affected second ODI at the Sher-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Friday to level the three-match series 1-1.The star of the match was Moaz Sadaqat who shone with both bat and ball. He scored a blistering 75 runs in the first 46 balls and later took three wickets to help Pakistan win.

Pakistan were bundled out for 274 runs in 47.3 overs after a great contribution from several batsmen. Sadaqat and Sahibzada Farhan put on an opening partnership of 103 runs in 13 overs to give the visitors a brilliant start. Farhan scored 31 runs while Salman Agha later scored 64 runs and shared a 109-run partnership with Mohammad Rizwan, who scored 44 runs.Bangladesh’s innings got off to a poor start in pursuit of the target. Tanzid Hasan 1, Saif Hasan 12 and skipper Najamul Hasan Shanto were dismissed by Shaheen Shah Afridi for 0, leaving the hosts at 27 for 3 in 6.3 overs. At this stage, a sudden thunderstorm and hail forced the players to stay off the field for almost two hours.When play resumed, the target was revised to 243 in 32 overs under the DLS method. Latin Das tried to fight back with an attacking 41, hitting a few fours and two sixes, while Tohid Hardoy scored 28 runs.However, Bangladesh quickly collapsed once Liton was dismissed lbw by Sadaqat. Haris Rauf and Sadaqat took three wickets each, bowling out Bangladesh for 114 in 23.3 overs to give Pakistan a comprehensive win.
