National Testing Agency (NTA) has released Stage 1 Result for National Institute of Fashion Technology Entrance Examination (NIFTEE) 2026 today on 20 March 2026. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now check and download their results from the official website exams.nta.nic.in/niftee.According to the official notice, the NIFTEE 2026 Phase 1 exam was conducted on February 8, 2026 for admission to various undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs offered by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) for the academic session 2026-27.The entrance exam was held at 129 centers in 97 cities across India. Depending on the course, the examination was conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) or Paper Based Test (PBT) mode in both Hindi and English.
Programs included under Stage 1
The Stage 1 results have been declared for the following courses.
- Bachelor of Design (B.Des.)
- Bachelor of Fashion Technology (BFTech.)
- Master of Design (M.Des.)
- Master of Fashion Management (MFM)
- Master of Fashion Technology (MFTech.)
- Lateral Entry Program for B.Des. and BFTech.
However, the final result of Bachelor of Fashion Technology (BFTech.) program will be declared later, as there is no Stage 2 examination for this course.
Step 2 Short listing details
Candidates are shortlisted for Stage 2 based on their performance in Stage 1. The shortlisting is done in the ratio of 1:4, which means that four candidates are selected for each available seat in each category.For Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates, an additional condition is applied. They must have scored at least 50% of the cut-off marks in their category to be shortlisted.Depending on the course, shortlisted candidates will appear for:
- Status Test (for BDS)
- Personal Interview (for M.D.S., M.F.M., M.F.Tech.)
- Studio Test and Interview (for BDS Lateral Entry)
- Technical Aptitude Test & Interview (For BFTech. Lateral Entry)
Phase 2 exam dates will be announced later on the official website.

Candidates can visit the official website exams.nta.nic.in/niftee and login using their application number and password to check their result.

- Click on the link for NIFTEE 2026 Stage 1 Result.
- Enter your application number and password.
- Click Submit.
- Your result will appear on the screen.
- Download and save it for future reference.
