NHRC has sent a notice regarding the song ‘Sarke Chunar’
As per ANI report, the controversy surrounding the song ‘Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke’ escalated when a lawyer and social activist Vineet Jindal filed a complaint with the cyber cell of Delhi Police seeking strict action against all those associated with the song. The complainant alleged that the song contains sexually suggestive and obscene lyrics unfit for public consumption. Jindal also demanded that the song be removed from the platforms as it would have a negative impact on the young audience. In the complaint, he also identified key contributors associated with the song, including lyricist Raqeeb Alam, director Prem, composer Arjun Janya and singer Mangli.
The complainant stated that the publication and circulation of a track is under the provisions of Section 294 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act (POCSO Act) and the Information Technology Act, 2000. Jindal has also filed a formal complaint. General Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

According to Moneycontrol report, the makers of the film have removed the song from YouTube. Several users tried to find the track on the platform; however, the video appeared to be unavailable. The song remained on YouTube until March 16, 2026. Meanwhile, the makers of ‘KD: The Devil’ have not reacted.
Celebrity reactions to the song
the singer Armaan Malik slammed the song, calling it a “new low” for songwriting. He wrote: “This popped up on my timeline, and I had to play it to make sure I heard it right. Sad to see commercial songwriting hit a new low.” Cricket legend Harbhajan Singh also took to his social media account to strongly oppose the song and called it out Nora Fatehi and for choosing to be a part of Sanjay Dutt.
