Jay Shah Reflecting on the recently concluded ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, it has been emphasized that no team is bigger than the organization, which saw several controversies and uncertainties before the tournament began. Speaking at an award ceremony in Mumbai, Shah said the tournament holds special significance as there were doubts and debates about the participation of some teams in the event.“This ICC World Cup was very important because before the start of the tournament there was a lot of talk about whether certain teams would participate and how the World Cup would proceed,” Shah said.
Without naming any specific country, the ICC chairman made it clear that the world governing body is bigger than any individual team.“As ICC chairman, I can say that no team is bigger than an organization and no single team makes an organization. An organization is the sum of all teams.”
The tournament faced initial uncertainty
The build-up to the World Cup saw a number of controversies.
