New Delhi: The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Monday allowed its players to participate in the match. Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026 after consultation with Govt.In a statement issued on Monday, the board said it was in touch with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of External Affairs before taking the decision.“The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) wishes to inform that it has maintained close coordination with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of Bangladesh regarding the participation of Bangladeshi cricketers in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) T20 tournament”.“After consultation, it has been confirmed that there are no current security or safety concerns for the players selected to represent the various franchises in the competition. This conclusion is based on assurances received from the Bangladesh Mission in Islamabad”.“With these assurances, the players have traveled to Pakistan for the tournament,” the statement said.“The BCB reiterates that the welfare of its players is its top priority. The board will remain in close contact with all parties concerned”.The tournament will continue from March 26 to May 3. Due to the current situation in West Asia and the fuel crisis in Pakistan, it will be held without spectators.Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had asked people to “limit their movements due to the fuel crisis”.The number of venues has also been reduced from six to two, matches will be played in Lahore and Karachi. The opening ceremony in Lahore has also been cancelled.Earlier, players including Mustafizur Rehman and Pervaiz Hussain Amon (Lahore Qalandars), Sharaful Islam, Naheed Rana and Tanzeed Hasan Tamim (Peshawar Zalmi) and Rashad Hussain (Rawalpindi Pandiz) were given no-objection certificates by the BCB after being selected by Franchi.
