National Institute of Open SchoolingME) has announced the practical exam schedule for April 2026 public examination of Secondary (Class 10) and Senior Secondary (Class 12) courses. Students registered for the upcoming exams can check the practical exam schedule and download their hall tickets through the official portal.As per the official schedule, NIOS practical exams will be conducted from 17 March to 1 April 2026 at designated exam centers in India and abroad.The hall ticket was earlier released on 10 March 2026. Students who will appear for the exams can download their hall tickets by entering their 12 digit enrollment number on NIOS official website.
NIOS Practical Exam Schedule 2026
According to the official website, the practical exams for the April 2026 session will be held between March 17 and April 1, 2026.These examinations will be conducted at the Recognized Institutes (AIs) or examination centers assigned by the Board. Students should report to their respective centers as per the schedule mentioned on their hall tickets.Practical exams are preceded by theory exams. The detailed date sheet of theory exams is expected to be released on the official website soon. As per the normal academic calendar, NIOS releases theory exam date sheet in March few weeks before the commencement of written exams. The theory exams for the April session are likely to start in early April 2026 and may continue till May 2026.

Hall ticket is a mandatory document for appearing in the examination. It contains important details like candidate name, roll number, subject code, exam center details, exam schedule.Students are advised to check all the details mentioned on the hall ticket carefully. In case of any error, they should contact their NIOS Regional Center immediately.Students can download the available practical exam hall ticket. HereStudents appearing for the practical examinations should carry a valid photo ID along with a printed copy of the hall ticket to the examination centre. They are advised to reach the center before the reporting time and follow all instructions given by the examination authorities.If a student is unable to download the hall ticket or finds any incorrect information in it, they should immediately contact their NIOS regional center to resolve the issue before the commencement of the examination.
