NHAI Summer Internship 2026: Registration Open 20K Rs Scholarship Offered, Check Eligibility and Direct Link to Apply

NHAI Summer Internship 2026: National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has started registration for its Summer Internship Program 2026. The internship is open to students from various educational backgrounds and aims to provide practical exposure to infrastructure development.Interested candidates can apply online through the official internship portal. Program duration and placement

The internship will be for two months. Selected candidates will be placed in NHAI field offices and headquarters across the country. During the program, interns will work under senior executives and project teams. They will learn about planning, implementation and management of national highway projects.

Eligibility Criteria

The internship is open to students pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in civil engineering. Students from other streams can also apply. These include Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Data Science, Finance, Law, Management, Commerce and Mass Communication.

Roles and Responsibilities

Civil engineering students will work on highway design, traffic planning, and construction supervision. Students in other disciplines will support analytics, information technology systems, tool operations, legal work, and project management.

Scholarship and Certificate

Selected candidates will get a monthly stipend of Rs.20,000. After the successful completion of the internship, they will also be given a certificate. The program will incorporate on-site learning, giving students exposure to infrastructure projects and industry practices.NHAI plans to induct around 500 interns every year under this initiative. The internship program has been developed in collaboration with the Department of Higher Education and the All India Council for Technical Education.AICTE).
