During the proceedings, lyricist Raqueeb Alam, director Prem, along with representatives of KVN Productions — Gautam KM and Suprith — appeared before the committee.Rahatkar expressed concern over the lyrics of the song, stating that they are against the dignity of women. He also rejected the argument of those called that they did not know the meaning of the letters.“Women’s dignity cannot be compromised in the name of creativity,” he said.According to the committee, those present presented a written apology and acknowledged that the song had a “negative impact on society”. They also informed the table that in the next three months they will carry out initiatives for the empowerment of women and that they will present a report.
Sanjay Dutt also called; the song dropped after the backlash
The commission has also ordered Sanjay Dutt to appear on April 8 in connection with the matter.Sarke Chunar Teri, a song from the upcoming Kannada film KD: The Devil, sparked widespread backlash soon after its sexually explicit lyrics were posted on YouTube. The song has been removed from the platform. Directed by Prem and starring Dhruv Sarja, KD: The Devil hits theaters on April 30.
