The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has declared the results of the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) 2026 conducted on March 7, 2026 at various centers across the country in a computer-based format. Along with the result, NBEMS has released detailed information about the qualifying criteria, merit ranking, and answer key revision.The result determines eligibility for M-Pharm admissions, scholarships, and PhD programs in pharmacy institutes across India as per norms approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).
How to check GPAT Result 2026
Candidates can get their GPAT 2026 result online through NBEMS portal by following these steps:
- Visit the official website: natboard.edu.in
- Click on the link for “GPAT 2026 Result” available on home page.
- Login using your Application ID and Password.
- See your score card and merit rank displayed on the screen
- Download and save the result for future admission and counseling use.

GPAT qualifying criteria explained.
As per Clause 10.8 of GPAT 2026 Information Bulletin, candidates are qualified only if they fulfill both the percentile and merit based conditions.The minimum qualifying percentile is defined category-wise as:
- General/EWS: 50th percentile
- OBC/SC/ST: 45th percentile
- PwBD (All Categories): 45th percentile
Apart from meeting the percentile threshold, candidates must also be within the top 10% of total test takers. This year, 5,362 candidates out of 53,617 have been considered subject to applicable reservation policies.
GPAT 2026 Rank and Tie Breaking Policy
NBEMS has clarified that the GPAT rank reflects the overall merit position of all the candidates appearing in the examination.In cases where two or more candidates obtain identical scores, the official merit is determined using the criteria specified in the official bulletin. These include parameters such as relative performance measurement and evaluation rules that are pre-defined by NBEMS.
Respond to key revisions and assessment changes.
After objections from candidates on the provisional answer key released on 13th March 2026, NBEMS conducted a review with experts.Major modifications include:
- 7 questions were found technically incorrect. Full marks are awarded to all candidates irrespective of the status of attempt.
- Answers to 4 questions have been corrected after expert review.
The final answer key is prepared accordingly and used to calculate the results.Candidates will be able to access the post-challenge question paper and final answer keys from 15th April 2026, by logging their applicants on the official NBEMS website.
