Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB) has announced Nursing Officer Recruitment 2026 under Group-5 Staff Nurse and Paramedical Combined Recruitment Test, which will open up more than 2,300 vacancies in healthcare institutions run by the state. The online application process will start on 6th April 2026 and will be open till 20th April 2026. Eligible candidates can apply through official MPESB portal. The recruitment drive includes the posts of Nursing Officers and Nurse Tutors, aimed at strengthening the staff in government hospitals and medical colleges. The computer-based examination is scheduled to begin on May 15, 2026, and will be conducted in multiple shifts at designated centers across the state.
Vacancy interval and important dates.
The recruitment drive covers a total of 2,317 posts, including 2,099 posts for Nursing Officers and 218 posts for Nurse Tutors. These appointments will be made at various government health facilities under the public health system of the state.As per the official schedule, the application window will open on April 6 and close on April 20, 2026. The exam is scheduled to start from 15 May 2026. Candidates are advised to complete the application process within the stipulated time to avoid last minute technical issues.
Eligibility criteria and application requirements
Applicants should possess B.Sc Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc Nursing qualification from a recognized institution. In addition, candidates may be required to obtain valid registration with the concerned State Nursing Council, as specified in the detailed notification.Age limit for applicants is fixed between 18 and 40 years, relaxation is applicable to reserved category candidates as per state government norms. Candidates should ensure that all eligibility conditions are met before submitting their applications, as verification will be done at later stages of the recruitment process.
Selection Process and Exam Pattern
The selection process will be done in multiple stages starting with Computer Based Test (CBT). The written test will consist of 100 questions covering general aptitude and domain specific subjects related to nursing and paramedical subjects. Negative marking will be applicable as per the prescribed scheme.Based on the performance in CBT, a merit list will be prepared, after which document verification will be done for the shortlisted candidates. Final selection will be subject to successful verification of educational credentials, eligibility criteria and other required documents.
