He also revealed that the two had started couple’s therapy; however, through it all, they felt that nothing was working for either of them.Throughout the season, Matthews has also been open about having an unnamed chronic illness, which he brings up again and again. Speaking about it, the star said: “It’s so incredible that everyone gets these opportunities and can go out and live their dreams, but my health has held me back from saying yes to a lot of opportunities. It’s definitely depressing and frustrating, and it’s holding me back in other areas of my life, like my marriage to Jace.“
