The ladies, dressed in black and shades of red, arrived for a sit-down where they talked about their movement, fashion, making the streets of New York their decor and, of course, falling down the stairs.

The cast members shared happy moments from their time filming, reminiscing about mishaps on set and accidentally becoming a social media meme. During the interaction, Hathaway recalled her fall that went viral on social media while she was shooting on the streets of Manhattan. “It was our last shot on the street. We were shooting for 6 weeks and I walked across Manhattan in my heels and I didn’t fall. It was the last shot and it happened, gravity was there that day,” he said to laughter from the audience.

Along with joining, Streep revealed that she had her own downfall, albeit in a very different environment. “I fell too. I fell on the red carpet at the Met Gala,” she said, referring to the famous fashion event that will be featured in the film. Hathaway quickly added, “Nobody posted that,” causing more hilarity.However, fans were quick to take down the video and were shocked to notice that the actor fell while filming on the steps of the Met Gala. Streep also shared a hilarious backstage detail about how her wardrobe beat the fashion police. He explained, “When you shoot on the street, they put a bath on you to cover your costume so you don’t spill pizza on the way. The first day I walked out of my trailer, I was wearing this peachy robe.“The Oscar-winning actress laughed as she recalled how the dress inadvertently became the talk of fashion circles, with several magazines reviewing her look.

Later that same evening, the leading ladies took their fashion game to the black carpet. This time, in alternating shades of black and red, the two cheered and cheered fans on as they strutted down the runway at fashion-forward shows and blew kisses to fans. Mexico is the first leg of a promotional tour that is also expected to include stops in Tokyo, Seoul, Shanghai, New York and London.

The film sees Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway return to the silver screen as Miranda and Andy, nearly 20 years after their iconic turn. With them Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci Like Emily and Nigel, as they pick up Runway magazine. The film reunites the original cast with director David Frankel and introduces a new cast of characters, including Kenneth Branagh, Simone AshleyJustin Theroux, Lucy Liu, Patrick Brammall, Caleb Hearon, Helen J. Shen, Pauline Chalamet, BJ Novak and Conrad Ricamora. Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman also reprise their roles as “Lily” and “Irv” from the first film. ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ will open in theaters on May 1, 2026.
