Actor-producer Legend Saravanan’s second film ‘Leader’ is set to release on April 3. The film focuses on a father-daughter bond that faces the challenges of being a gangster. Saravanan shared details about the tough shooting conditions and praised the cast and crew. He expressed great confidence in ‘Leader’, believing that he will be a great success. Vetri Maaran and Dhanush have reportedly watched the film and praised it.

The event was held in Chennai on April 3, ahead of the film’s worldwide release. Beginning his speech thoughtfully, Legend Saravanan called for peace and security for people around the world. He is happy to present his second film after ‘The Legend’ and said that the entire team has worked hard to make the film attractive. Kondair Saravanan also pointed out that ‘Leader’ opens on Good Friday, making it a special opportunity for audiences to see the film in theaters during the summer holidays.

‘Leader’ – The father-daughter bond at the heart of the film

Talking about the story, Saravanan shared that the film is based on the emotional bond between a father and his daughter. “A peaceful father-daughter relationship faces unexpected changes when a powerful gangster enters their lives. This emotional journey forms the heart of this film,” he said. According to Cinema Vikatan, he also praised director Durai Senthilkumar for his dedication and commitment during the making of the film. “Durai Senthilkumar has completely dedicated himself to this film. Whoever works with heart and passion will definitely succeed,” said Saravanan. He also recalled how composer Ghibran reacted after seeing the finished film. “Ghibran spoke to the director for almost half an hour, praising the film. I don’t think he appreciated any other film like this,” he added, noting that the songs in the film travel naturally with the story.

Legend talks about the tough shooting conditions in Saravana

Kondair Saravanan also spoke about the challenges faced during the production of the film. “We shot for 14 days at the airport in Georgia in -14 degrees. It was very cold, and it was difficult to move your hands and legs,” he said. The climax scene was particularly demanding, as it involved hundreds of foreign acrobats and was filmed inside a cramped train compartment. During the shoot, Saravanan suffered a serious leg injury. “I hurt my leg during the climax sequence. But there were hundreds of technicians waiting on the set, so I took an injection and continued acting. Even today, I don’t know where that energy came from,” he recalled.

Legend Saravanan also praised the performances of the film’s actors. “Lal sir is a genius, and acting with him was a challenge. Sham has given a mature performance, and Andrea has acted as the director imagined,” he said. He also appreciated Aishwarya Lakshmi’s role and VTV Ganesh’s comedy, making the team laugh during the shoot. Saravanan revealed that director Vetri Maaran and actor Dhanush he saw the film and praised it. “They said the film looks big and impressive,” he shared. Expressing confidence, he added, “I think ‘Leader’ will stand next to blockbusters like ‘Jailer’, ‘Vikram’ and ‘Leo’.” He ended with a dialogue from the film: “God doesn’t do everything directly. He works through good people. Trust them…and trust me too.”
