“I didn’t feel comfortable”

During the show, Lavanya was asked by a fan if she had ever experienced crying her heart out at home but carrying on as normal the next day.Answering honestly, the actor said that such moments have happened many times in his life.“As a single woman and without a family background, sometimes there’s no one to help you. So you say, okay, what can I do? Once upon a time, there was a film I had to do in Tamil. And I felt that something was not right with the director. I may be wrong, but I didn’t feel comfortable and nenu no cheppesanu (I said no),” Lavanya shared.He added that things took an unexpected turn after the project was abandoned.“Then they put a case on me and they were putting out wrong articles about me in the newspaper,” he said.

“I didn’t tell anyone and I didn’t ask for help”

Lavanya revealed that at that time she chose to remain silent and did not seek help from anyone.“Nenu ipudu cheptunanu, gaani aa time ki nenu evariki cheppaledu. Nenu evariki help adagaledu (I am talking about it now, but then I did not tell this to anyone or ask for anyone’s help),” he said.Recalling how the pressure took a toll on her emotionally, she admitted that there was a day when everything became overwhelming.“But because of that pressure, one day I came home and I was crying. I don’t usually cry. After I cried, I got up, made tea and chilled. Crying is good, no problem, but I have faced situations like this. All these times, they make you very strong,” Lavanya said to applause from fans.

‘If you’re going through hell, keep going’

When asked how she dealt with the situation, Lavanya said that her decision was simple: she turned down the film because she didn’t feel comfortable.“All I did was say no because I wasn’t comfortable working with the person. They worried me a lot afterwards. If you’re going through hell, keep going,” he said. Lavanya made her acting debut in 2012 with the Telugu film Andala Rakshasi directed by Hanu Raghavapudi. His Tamil debut came with Bramman, which also starred M. Sasikumar.The actress married her Mister co-star Varun Tej in 2023. The couple welcomed their son Vaayuv in November 2025.
