‘KPop Demon Hunters’ may be gearing up for an epic world tour after its smash hit at the Oscars and record-breaking hit on Netflix. According to recent reports, the streaming giant wants to expand the success of the animated film beyond screens and present the girl group in a live show. According to Bloomberg, Netflix is reportedly in early discussions with concert promoters to develop a live show featuring performances of the hit film. The proposed tour is expected to take in dozens of major cities around the world and is expected to begin next year, ahead of a planned sequel: ‘KPop Demon Hunters 2’.The development comes after ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ struck gold at the Hollywood awards, winning the Academy Award for Best Animated Film, while the song ‘Golden’ won the Academy Award for Best Original Song. The film also won Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards, while the song became the first K-Pop song to win a Grammy. The film also became the streamer’s most-watched release after its release in 2025.Although a developer has yet to be finalized, reports suggest that the response to this plan has already received offers of more than millions of dollars in advance guarantees. The film focuses on the K-Pop trio Huntrix, consisting of singers Rumi, Mira and Zoey, voiced by Arden Cho, May Hong and Ji-young Yoo. The girls balance their global stardom while secretly doubling as demon hunters and keeping the kingdom safe through music. The film’s song ‘Golden’, EJAE, was performed by Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami. After winning the Oscar, EJAE wrote a long thank-you note on Instagram, saying, “From my bedroom in Brooklyn, to performing at the Oscars… to end this beautiful journey with an Oscar in our hands… words cannot describe the gratitude I feel for everyone who has been a part of this long and unforgettable journey.
