The third language paper of the SSLC exam, which was earlier scheduled to be held on March 30, has been postponed to March 31 as a result of a change in the Mahavir Jayanti holiday notification. It has been confirmed that the rest of the schedule will go ahead as planned.The SSLC exam date has been changed by the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board as a result of the change in the Mahavir Jayanti holiday notification by the state government. The Mahavir Jayanti festival, which was earlier reported to be held on March 31, has now been shifted to March 30, leading to a change in the SSLC exam date.

Since March 30 has been declared as a holiday, it was not possible to hold the exam on March 30.The board has sent fresh instructions to schools and examination centers as per this new date. Students participating in the third language paper are notified through official channels, including notifications from school authorities and the board.There is no change in the rest of the exam schedule.Apart from this rescheduled paper, all other SSLC exams will be conducted as per the original plan. The exams started on March 18 and will conclude on April 2. Officials have said that maintaining the original dates of all other papers is the top priority to avoid further complications.Superintendents of all examination centers have been instructed to stick to this revised time table.A large number of candidates are appearing across the state.About 8.65 lakh students from across the state have appeared for the SSLC exam this year. This has made it necessary for the administration to run the affairs in different districts in a coordinated manner. In this regard, it has been emphasized that adequate awareness regarding the changes will be given to the students and others in time.It has been confirmed that adequate arrangements have been made by the Education Department to ensure that students are not disadvantaged due to the changes. It has been emphasized that the changes were inevitable in the context of the revised declaration of holidays. It has also been reiterated that the integrity of the examination process has not been affected in any way and no further changes will be made in the schedule.
