The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) declared the result of II PUC Exam-1 on 9 April 2026 at 3 PM. These results can now be accessed using various online and offline resources and represent the culmination of a rigorous process involving thousands of examiners and over six lakh students.II PUC Exam-1 was conducted from February 28 to March 17, 2026 in 1,217 examination centers across Karnataka. This represents a huge expansion of the process of conducting examinations in Karnataka.A lot of resources were also required for checking the question papers. It took place from March 17 to April 2, 2026, and included:

  • 68 evaluation camp
  • 27,739 reviewers

The examinations for the students were held from February 28 to March 17, 2026 at 1,217 centers across Karnataka. This is a testament to the sheer size of the state’s pre-university program.The marking of the examination took place within a strict time frame which included:

The most compelling takeaway from this year’s results is the increase in overall pass percentage. A total of 6,32,200 students appeared out of which 5,46,698 cleared the exam, bringing the overall pass percentage to 86.48%. In contrast, last year this number was 73.45 percent.

Performance in streams shows mixed academic performance with an overall improvement pattern.Science streamStudents in science streams were the winners once again, with the highest pass percentage.

Clearly, the science stream has always been the most competitive and consistently high-scoring stream.Commerce streamCommerce students performed quite well and thus bridged the gap between the two streams.

Thus, the commerce stream is showing continuous improvement in its academic performance.Arts StreamAs per the trend of the last few years, Arts students continued to score the lowest marks across all the three streams, though the improvement this year has been significant.

Gendered performance: A persistent advantage for girls

The gender breakdown again reinforces a familiar trend, with girls outperforming boys, both in participation and success rates.Girls excel.A total of 3,53,742 girls appeared out of which 3,13,770 passed, resulting in 88.70%. This marks a significant increase from 77.88 percent in 2025, indicating continued educational growth among female students.Boys show improvement, but fall behind.Among boys, 2,78,458 appeared in the examination and 2,32,928 passed, making the pass ratio 83.65 per cent. While this is a significant improvement from last year’s 68.20 percent, the performance gap between the sexes is glaring.

Students can check the results through various sources like KSEAB website and karresults as well as KarnatakaOne mobile app. The marks card will be digitally uploaded on the DigiLocker website.In terms of future prospects, there is another important exam called II PUC Exam-2, which will be held from 30th April to 13th May 2026.
