According to Mid-Day report, Karan Johar’s upcoming web series ‘Nazdeekiyan’ is inspired by his film ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’ which starred Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan and Preity Zinta in lead roles. The report said, “The serial is a contemporary of infidelity. ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’, though controversial at the time, has aged well, with generations resonating with the conflict between the four protagonists.The report added that the production house “wanted to revisit the idea, and from there, the story of ‘Nazdeekiyan’ took shape.”Although the show is set to show similar themes, the story will not be the same. The report added, “The DNA is similar, but the conditions and settings of the four paths here are different.”

The show is the director Ruchir Arun and it will have 20 episodes. It will be the title Taha Shah Badussha and Nikita Dutta. The series will air on Amazon Prime Video; however, an official release date has yet to be announced.
