Indian Navy Engineer Recruitment 2026: Indian Navy recruitment drive for the posts of Agnior SSR, Agnior MR and SSR (Medical) for 01/2027 and 02/2027 batches ends today, 6th April, 2026. Online applications, which opened on March 14, 2026, are being accepted through the portal.The recruitment process covers a number of sailor roles, with both male and female candidates eligible for the positions of Agnew SSR and MR. However, SSR (Medical) posts are restricted to unmarried male candidates. Selection will be done through INET 2026 exam which will have subsequent stages.Application timeline and milestonesThe recruitment notification was released on 10 March 2026. Candidates are given a limited application window ending on April 6, 2026. A correction window for submitted forms will be available from April 10 to April 11, 2026.The INET 2026 exam is scheduled in May 2026, with the results expected between May and June 2026. The application fee is fixed at Rs. 550 for all categories, including General, OBC, EWS, SC and ST, payable through online modes.Eligibility criteria and educational requirementsThe age standard varies between batches. For Agnew 01/2027, candidates should be born between 1 December 2004 and 31 May 2009. The birth limit for Agnivar 02/2027 and SSR (Medical) 02/2027 is 1 May 2005 to 31 October 2009.Educational qualification varies from post to post. Agnew MR applicants must have passed class 10 with minimum 50% marks. Agnew SSR candidates require Class 12 or three year diploma with 50% marks with Mathematics and Physics. SSR (Medical) candidates must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with 50% marks.Selection Procedures and Exam PatternThe selection process starts with INET 2026 Computer Based Test, followed by Physical Fitness Test, Stage-II Written Examination, Document Verification and Medical Examination.Agnew SSR and SSR (Medical) exams will consist of 100 questions with additional sections of Mathematics or Biology in addition to English, Science and General Awareness. Duration is one hour with negative marking of 0.25.
