Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode has opened admissions for the 19th batch of its Executive Post Graduate Program (EPGP) in Management. The two-year program is designed for working professionals who wish to upgrade their leadership and management skills as they continue their career.This announcement was made by IIM Kozhikode Director Professor Debashis Chatterjee at a media event. He highlighted that the program has helped professionals from various industries develop leadership skills and prepare for changing business needs. He also noted that areas like data analytics and artificial intelligence are becoming important in modern management.“EPGP has consistently brought together professionals from various fields and career stages. Our aim is to develop globally aware and technically skilled leaders who can adapt to change,” said Professor Chatterjee.
The largest group recorded last year
The 18th batch of the program recorded 672 participants, making it the largest Executive MBA batch in the institute’s history. Women accounted for 29 percent of the batch, the highest ever.Participants came from industries such as information technology, consulting, banking and financial services, manufacturing, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, energy, legal services and aerospace. Work experience among the participants ranged from three years to more than 20 years.
Program structure and learning format
This program combines online learning with campus immersion. This includes over 750 contact hours over two years.In the first year, participants study core subjects such as:
- Finance and Accounting
- Marketing
- Strategy
- Human resources and organizational behavior
- Economics
- Operations and Decision Science
In the second year, learners can choose electives such as:
- Digital transformation
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Business
- Generative AI
- Corporate strategy
- Entrepreneurship and Innovation
- Leadership and change management
- International business
- Business impersonation
The program is delivered through an interactive learning platform. Teaching methods include case studies, assignments, presentations and sessions with industry experts.Participants will also participate in three one-week campus immersions. An optional international immersion is also available to provide global exposure.
Selection process
Admission to the program includes:
- Executive Management Aptitude Test (EMAT)
- Personal interview
Candidates can also submit valid scores from:
- Common Admission Test (CAT)
- Graduate Record Examination (GRE)
- Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT)
Scores must be valid within three years of the EMAT date.Upon successful completion, participants earn alumni status and join the institution’s network of more than 15,000 professionals.
