IIM Ahmedabad PGP 2026 batch: Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad has completed the final placement process for the Post Graduate Program (PGP) class of 2026 with 100% placements in 26 cohorts. Recruiters from consulting, finance, technology and other fields participated in the process.The placement cycle started with the lateral placement process from 5 to 15 January 2026. This phase was for students with prior work experience and focused on middle and senior management roles. Final placement was then done through the cluster cohort system.

How was the process organized?

Under the cluster cohort model, firms are grouped on the basis of industry and invited into different clusters. Students in later clusters were allowed to apply to firms even after getting an offer through the institute called Dream Applications. Over 150 such applications were made during this process.This structure determines how opportunities are divided into groups and how students move between roles before finalizing their presentations.

Consulting firms lead the way in recruitment.

The advisory group took a large part in the presentations. Boston Consulting Group made 33 offers, the most of the group. McKinsey & Company made 21 offers, while Bain & Company made 20 offers.Other consulting firms that participated include Accenture Strategy, Deloitte Consulting India, KPMG India, PwC India, and EY-Parthenon.

Participation in all fields

The placement process also saw participation from firms in investment banking and markets, private equity, consumer goods, enterprise technology, and healthcare. In the investment banking group, Goldman Sachs led with 6 offers, followed by Citibank with 4 offers, according to the press release.The private equity, venture capital and asset management group recorded a 45% increase in offers. Firms such as Blackstone, General Atlantic, and Temasek were among the participants.Several other groups also recorded increases in the number of offerings, including analytics and information technology consulting, consumer services, pharmaceuticals and healthcare, and renewable energy.

Lateral placements and new recruits

In the lateral placement process, FinIQ Consulting made 15 offers, while NTT Data made 14 offers.According to the press release, new recruits were also added to all sectors during this cycle, indicating a continued expansion of the recruiter base.The 2026 placement cycle shows continued demand from consulting firms with participation from various sectors. The structure of the process and the spread of recruiters show how recruitment is being coordinated and organized across roles.
