Candidates appearing for the examination can now check and download the list of shortlisted candidates for Tier 2 examination on the official website of Ministry of Home Affairs, mha.gov.in.The IB MTS 2026 exam was conducted on 27 January 2026 to fill 362 posts. The result has been released in PDF format, containing the roll numbers of candidates shortlisted for the next stage of the recruitment process.

IB MTS Result 2026: Selection Process

The IB MTS 2026 selection process consists of Tier 1 written exam, Tier 2 exam and interview stage.Candidates who qualify the written test will now enter the Tier 2 stage.

Preparation of Results and Marking Scheme

The written exam consisted of objective type multiple choice questions. Each correct answer carries one mark, while one quarter mark is deducted for each wrong answer.After evaluating the objections of the candidates, the result is prepared based on the final answer key.Candidates who meet the cut-off marks are shortlisted for the next stage.

Next step: Document verification and Tier 2 exam

Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification. Candidates must produce their date of birth proof, education certificate, domicile certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), disability certificate (if applicable), other relevant documents and prepare for Tier 2 examination.Candidates who fail to submit valid documents may be disqualified from the recruitment process.Applicants are advised to visit the official website of Ministry of Home Affairs regularly for further updates regarding Tier 2 Exam.
