Sameera Reddy and her husband Akshai Varde got married in 2014. They have two children and often share family photos on social media. Akshai appeared in the promotions of the film ‘Tezz’ sure that he met her Lara Dutta. “Someone told me there is this actress, Sameera Reddy. In my mind, I was picturing Lara Dutta,” she admitted. Sameera, recounting the moment to Hauterfly, said that she first noticed it on a massive bike brought to the shoot. “There was this big bike that came in for the shoot, and Akshai was on it,” he recalled. As his eyes guarded the borrowed ride, he felt an instant spark. “I was like, wow, that’s really hot. I started acting like a teenager trying to impress him,” she said.

After the shoot was over, Akshai was reluctant to ask for Sameera’s number, feeling that a Bollywood star was out of his reach, so he went ahead and made sure she had it. “I wasn’t going to ask for his number. Me, a Bollywood actor, no way. I’m not going to get into that, you know. Then he’d come and say, oh, you know what, this bike is really fancy. And I have a lot of friends in Bollywood. And he dropped some names. Everyone would be interested in such bikes. So you should get my number. So I pulled out my phone and said, okay, give me your number. So he immediately gave me his number. Yes, but that’s how we met.’ “That’s how it started,” said Akshai. “We went to a party, and the story began.”

Sameera Reddy and Akshai Varde got married on 21 January 2014. The couple has two children, a son named Hans, born in 2015, and a daughter named Nyra, born in 2019.
