Guwahati: The Assam State School Education Board has officially declared the results of the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination 2026 at 10:30 am today. Students who appeared for the Class 10 board exams can now access their digital mark sheets through the official website and designated online portals.This year, the overall pass percentage is 65.62 percent, showing a marginal improvement from last year’s 63.98 percent. Over 4.29 lakh students appeared for the exam, making it one of the largest state board exams in the country.
A marginal improvement has been observed in the pass percentage.Out of a total of 4,29,249 candidates who appeared for the exam, a significant number of them cleared the exam. The improvement in pass percentage indicates the steady academic performance of students across the state.Division wise performance of studentsOf the successful candidates, 85,189 students obtained a first division, indicating strong academic achievement. Meanwhile, 1,50,167 candidates passed in the second division and 46,345 students were placed in the third division.Distinguished and star actorA total of 3,983 students secured distinction by scoring 510 and above. Additionally, 13,681 candidates achieved star marks by scoring between 450 and 509, highlighting a commendable level among high performers.• Direct link to check result • Direct link to check result on TOI portal Among all districts, the hilly district of Dimahasau recorded the highest pass percentage of 88.23, followed by Shivasagar district, which has shown consistent performance over the years and is regularly among the top performing districts. Shivasagar passed with 84.08%.CM Hamanta Biswa Sarma wrote in a social media post, “Heartiest congratulations to all the students who have cleared the HSLC exam 2026.“Those who didn’t get the expected results, stay determined. With hard work and perseverance, you will definitely succeed. My best wishes always,” he added.ASSEB Secretary Nara Narayanath said that the date for providing the hard copy of certificate cum marks sheet for the passed candidates will be notified in due course. “Hard copy of the marks sheet will not be provided to the failed candidates. However, if an unsuccessful candidate wants to get the hard copy of the marks sheet, he/she has to apply separately at the board office.” He said in a notification.How to check Assam HSLC Result 2026Students can check their results online by entering their roll number and other required credentials. The digital mark sheets are available on the official website Board of Secondary Education Assam as well as on the result portal of Times of India.Additionally, students can also access their results through the official mobile application released by the board on Google Play Store.Exam detailsThe Class 10 board examinations were conducted in February 2026 at 1,046 centres, including 117 newly added centres. Question papers were provided in multiple languages including English, Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, and Hindi, ensuring access to a diverse base of students.Students are advised to download and keep a copy of their mark sheets for future reference.
