GPSC Prelims Exam Schedule 2026: The Gujarat Public Service Commission has announced the preliminary examination schedule for 21 advertised posts, confirming subject-specific tests in various departments. The announcement follows an earlier notification outlining a common examination framework on the Commission’s official website.According to the notification, the preliminary tests for all the listed posts will be conducted in a structured sequence, with each test scheduled in the afternoon session between 03:00 to 05:00. The schedule includes a range of Class-I and Class-II posts in all departments including agriculture, education, industry, engineering and civil services.The preliminary tests will start from the posts of Veterinary Officer.The examination period will begin with three advertisements for Veterinary Officer, Class-II, Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Cooperation Department, Various Municipalities, and Forest and Environment Department. All the three exams are scheduled on May 30, 2026.This will be followed by exams on June 16, 2026, including for Assistant Insurance Regulator and academic posts such as Lecturer in Geography and Assistant Professors of Geography and Forestry in government institutions.Academic and administrative posts are scheduled till June.Further examinations will be held on June 23, 2026, for the roles of Child Development Scheme Officer and several Assistant Professors in Science, Computer Science, Social Science and Mathematics in government colleges.On June 30, 2026, candidates will appear for posts including Assistant Regulator in Industries and Mines Department and Assistant Professors in Automobile, Production and Mathematics subjects in Government Engineering Colleges.• Download complete exam dates for all 21 posts. The last step is to add technical lecturers and civil service postsThe final phase of the exams is scheduled on 4th July 2026. This phase includes posts of lecturer in the subjects of architecture, ceramics and metallurgy as well as posts of assistant professor of physics in government polytechnics. The examination period will end with the preliminary examination of Assistant Commissioner of Civil Service, Gujarat Civil Service, Class-I.The commission has said that candidates who have applied for more than one subject will have their marks from the examination of one of the relevant subjects applicable to the other subjects. A pattern will be made available on the website of the Commission for such candidates if required.In cases where consent money is sought from candidates applying for more than one subject, the Commission clarified that such deposits will not be considered if the marks obtained in the examination of the respective subject are not taken into account.
