Film maker Rohit Shetty Golmaal has officially announced the next chapter of his popular comedy franchise on his birthday. The director announced the film with a hilarious first look video. Titled Golmaal 5, the film will see the return of several familiar faces and also welcome a new one. Akshay Kumar.On Saturday, Rohit shared a special announcement video revealing that the shooting of the fifth installment of the series has begun. Reflecting on the run of the franchise, the director expressed his gratitude to the viewers who have supported the films for nearly two decades.“20 years ago, the first Golmaal was released, the film that changed my life. The credit goes to you, my audience. We have entertained you for the past 20 years, and yes, disappointed at times, but we have always been honest in our work. So now, once again, my great crew and I embark on a journey to entertain you as we begin filming G5. You have always loved and supported me. All we need is your blessing. See you at the movies @tseries.official @rohitshettypicturez,” he wrote.The promo video features lead actors: Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Kemmu and celebrating the comeback of Tusshar Kapoor Sharman Joshiwhich was part of the original movie but was not in the later episodes. Excitement builds when Akshay Kumar suddenly appears, surprising everyone in the clip. Reacting to Akshay’s entry into the franchise, Ajay quipped, “Koi bhi franchise nhi chordta.”In the video, Akshay can be seen sporting a bald look, dressed in a black kurta with a lungi, paired with dark sunglasses.The actor also shared his excitement about joining the film on Instagram, writing, “Happy Birthday @itsrohitshetty On your birthday, the craziness got louder and louder.
