Gina Gershon Talks About Almost Breaking Tom Cruise’s Nose
While talking to the host of the ‘Page Six Radio’ program, the actress talked about one of her most popular roles, ‘Cocktail’, where she starred alongside Cruise. Calling it a dream, the star revealed that while it was the opportunity of a lifetime for her, her fellow actor had different memories.Gershon revealed that during the filming of the film, the two had to do an intimate love scene. She said she had a brother who would hold her and tickle her, which now causes her unwanted reactions. He said the same to Cruise, but things took a turn from there. He added, “Oh, that’s a great idea.” We’re trying to make the scene work in a fun way,” Gershon said. “And unexpectedly, it kind of tickled me once. I said, ‘Don’t do that.’ I said, ‘Don’t do that, I had a big brother that tickled me. I’m really going crazy.’ And I think maybe he thought, ‘Oh, this is going to be a great reaction.'”He also revealed that the actor kicked him in the face during the scene because he accidentally tickled him. Then he playfully remembered that it was his fault and that even though the actress was in pain, he was the one apologizing. “No, no, no. My fault. My bad. You warned me,” Gershon said. “He was the owner. He says, ‘You told me not to tickle.’ And he was trying to make me feel good. But I could tell the poor guy was in pain,” he finished.
The “cocktail” plot
The film centers around Brian, a bartender working in Jamaica, who is challenged by his mentor to follow and impress a rich girl. Trouble in his life after his girlfriend sees him and feels betrayed.
