The platform has now issued a public statement clarifying ownership of the film’s digital rights and warning against unauthorized deals related to its online distribution.
Amazon Prime Video claims exclusive digital rights to the film
In a statement shared on social media, Amazon Prime Video has confirmed that it is the sole digital rights holder of “Drishyam 3”. As the platform explains, these rights come from a valid agreement signed with the film’s production house, Aashirvad Cinemas. The company clearly stated:“This notice is hereby given that Amazon Seller Services Private Limited (Amazon) is the sole and exclusive holder of all digital rights (including SVOD, TVOD, AVOD, FVOD and EST) of the film Drishyam 3 (Malayalam) (read The Film) in accordance with the existing rights usage agreements between Aashirvad Cinemas and Amazon.
The platform warns the public against unauthorized digital deals
The OTT platform also cautioned the public and industry players not to enter into any deal for the film’s digital rights without permission. The statement added: “The public is hereby notified that Amazon holds these rights to the exclusion of all others, and that Aashirvad Cinemas (including its assignees, licensors and any other persons purportedly authorized by Aashirvad Cinemas) is not authorized to sell, license or in any way create any third party interest, lien or charge in the digital film.”“The company added that anyone who engages in such transactions does so at their own risk and may face legal consequences.
The release of ‘Drishyam 3’ has been extended to May 21

The third installment was originally scheduled to release on April 2, but has now been pushed back.
