In a candid interview, the actor, known for his breakout role in ‘Sacred Games’ and his recent appearance in ‘Son of Sardaar 2’, took a step back to meet realistic beauty benchmarks in the growing makeover culture.
Kubbra Sait unrealistic body standards
In an interview with IANS, Kubbra Sait was asked if he thinks social media pressure on actors about body standards is becoming dangerous. She said: “I think we often blame the media for our insecurities. But the real question is, why are we insecure in the first place? If you believe in yourself, no platform can make you feel insecure. I personally choose not to change my appearance beyond the basics, that’s my choice. But if someone else chooses differently, that’s their decision.”The actor said, “We need to stop judging others and focus on our own lives. Safety or insecurity comes from within, not from social media.”
Kubbra Sait reflects on his career in the industry
In the same interview, Kubbra Sait was asked how he has evolved as an actor since his debut in 2010. The actor replied, “When you get a chance, it’s important not to waste it because that’s where your growth lies. For me, consistency, discipline and enthusiasm have been constant. There was always that clarity in me – ‘mujhe hai yeh.’The actor added that before becoming an actor, “he had a well-paid job abroad and was doing well professionally.” Kubbra shared that he asked himself, “Was I really happy?”He said, “When I came here, my journey made sense. When you work hard at something that brings you joy, your journey naturally progresses, step by step.”The actor also stated that the people he has worked with have always inspired him and given him courage. He concluded: “Honestly, the results I received are beyond imagination. I am very grateful.”

On the work front, the actor was last seen in Ajay Devgn and Mrunal Thakur’s ‘Son of Sardaar 2’. She will next be seen in David Dhawan’s ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ starring Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde. The film will hit theaters in June this year.
