The day we’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived! ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ finally hits theaters today with preview screenings in theaters. Ahead of the highly anticipated release of the film General Board of Film Certification The (CBFC) report has surfaced online, giving fans a glimpse of various edits, scene cuts and replacements, resulting in a shortened release time.

‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ gets ‘A’ grade with restrictions

According to the certificate details, the film has got an ‘A’ grade with a final running time in India of 3 hours, 49 minutes and 36 seconds. The version sent to the CBFC was approximately 3 hours and 51 minutes long. With the board making additional cuts of about 1.3 minutes, the film now has a runtime that is over 6 minutes shorter than the foreign version, which clocks in at roughly 3 hours and 55 minutes.

“Dhurandhar: The Revenge” will have a shorter run in India

According to the certification report, 4 out of a total of 21 major changes were suggested, with visuals of extreme violence. These include moments described as “smashing an eye”, “head cutting and kicking”, “hitting the head with a cement block” and “hitting the head with a hammer”, all cut out. According to the report, 24 seconds of a “decapitation and kicking” were deleted.

The film has already got off to a good start at the box office, earning over 41.24 crores in advance bookings gross. Including blocked seats, the total collection of the film is expected to be around 46 crores. the director Aditya Dharthe film, which also stars Sara Arjun, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi, Danish Pandor and Yami Gautam in lead roles. The film will have a wide release in India in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
