According to a report by India TV, ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ will not be coming to Netflix, unlike the first film in the series. After the theatrical release, ‘Dhurandhar 2’ will be aired on JioHotstar, a change from the first film. The streaming platform has acquired the digital rights for 150 million euros, almost double the 85 million paid for the streaming rights of the original film. The satellite TV rights have been acquired by Star Gold.
When is the expected OTT release date?
The makers have not announced an official release date yet. The report revealed that the film is expected to release on the OTT platform after the conclusion of IPL 2026, most likely in the last week of May or the first week of June 2026.The digital release is being strategically delayed from mid-May to early June, avoiding a conflict with the Indian Premier League 2026.
