The actor said he was slammed for accepting the role of a terrorist and reciting anti-Hindu dialogue, even though they belonged to the same community.

In an interview to PTI, Vivek Sinha shared that a few days ago he received a message from a woman on Instagram saying that he should be “ashamed” of accepting the role in the franchise “Dhurandhar” for a few dollars. He said, “A lady wrote to me about how I talked about Hindus, being a Hindu myself. At first, I thought, should I answer him or should I walk away? So I thought, why not? Let me have my opinion and let it come to him. So I left him a voicemail.”

Vivek Sinha shares his answer

Vivek shared that a film is a mirror of society. He added that a film shows how the characters behave and if it has to portray a terrorist, it has to portray his ways and ideologies. The actor stated that he said to the person: “So when we have to show that character, should we call a Pakistani terrorist to shoot the film? We should do it alone, no? Let’s understand what he’s trying to say, to show how far he can go to be so cruel. If someone is dying in a movie, should we call the real killers from jail, and they still haven’t voiced it?”.
