The Danish Pandora. The scene depicting the gruesome killing of gangster Arshad Pappu has sparked conversations for its gritty and raw portrayal. Opening up about the shoot, Danish revealed that real-life inspiration made it even more intense.“That incident actually happened in real life. When I first read it, I was so horrified… even reading about it made me wonder how someone could do something like that,” he told Ent Live.He added, “But as an actor, when you work on a character, you give yourself completely. As you read on, you start to understand how he would act… When I read that scene, to be honest, I was very excited to do it.’
‘I stayed in the moment’: trusting instinct over the monitor
Speaking about his approach, Dane’s Pandor said he relied heavily on instinct while making the sequence.“I did that scene staying in the moment and the situation. After each take, I looked away Aditya Dharand if I gave the thumbs up, I wouldn’t even go to the monitor because I wanted my director to be very happy,” he said.He also revealed that the team put a lot of effort into executing the scene, including improvisation. “A lot of work went into it … we also did quite a bit of improvisation. That’s how we got on.”
Injury on set: “It got a little serious”
The intense sequence also came at a physical cost. Danish said he injured his thumb while filming the scene.“I hurt my thumb during the shoot and I was rushed to the hospital. It took about two to two-and-a-half months to heal…it got a bit serious.
